Information: Second-Lieutenant A.E. Carrette, 9th Battalion Royal Dublin Fusiliers, was a son of Mr. E. W. Carrette, Postmaster, Bandon. He enlisted in December, 1914, and obtained his commission in March, 1915. He went to the front in December, 1915, and was in charge of the machine guns on the morning of April 27th when the German attack was so gallantly and successfully repelled.
