Information: Sec.Lieutenant Archibald Frizelle, Royal Field Artillery, who was killed in action on May 4th, 1916, was in his 20th year, and was the youngest son of Mr. John H. Frizelle, BalIinglen, Ballycastle, Co. Mayo. He was educated at the Ranelagh School, Athlone, and subsequently at Mountjoy School, Dublin. When the war broke out he was in Canada on the engineering staff employed in constructing the railway from Le Pas to Hudson Bay, but immediately returned and applied for a commission, but without waiting for it enlisted in the Irish Guards, being shortly promoted Corporal and received his lieutenancy in six months. He had been only a month in France when he fell in action.
