Information: Second Lieutenant Ernest William Gayles Hind, Royal Irish Rifles, who has been killed in action, was the eldest son of Mr. W. E. Hind, The Cottage, Demesne Road, Hollywood. Lieut. Hind fell in the advance on July 1st whilst gallantly leading his men in an attack on the German trenches. On the outbreak of the war he was on the staff of Messrs. Graham and Co., accountants, Belfast, but at once offered his services and obtained his commission in the Royal Irish Rifles.
