Information: Second Lieut. Ailwyn Egerton Copeland Trimble, who has received two distinctions for bravery during engagements on May 6 and 11, is the third son of Mr. W. Copeland Trimble, J.P., Enniskillen. He was wounded on 21st June when in the trenches with his battalion, the 7th Royal Inniskillings, in which at the time he was commanding his company. Mr. Trimble was a divinity student, and on the outbreak of war offered himself for a commission at the Regimental Depot, and pending the reply joined with his friends, the Trinity lot, in the 7th Dublins, and when at the Curragh received orders to join his battalion at Fermoy. Mr. Trimble's elder brother, R. Stuart, is the signal officer of the 6th Royal Irish Fusiliers, and his younger brother, Noel, fell in action when warning his men of the 8th Inniskillings of the approaching poison gas on 22nd April.
