Information: Second Lieutenant S.J. Parr, 1st Royal Dragoons (attached), son of Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Parr, Ballyboy, Athboy, has been awarded the Military Cross for bravery in the field at Loos. He was educated at St. Andrew's College and is well known in football circles, being a prominent Irish Rugby International forward and a member of Wanderers' Football Club. At the outbreak of the war he offered his services and has been through many engagements in France. His brother, Captain V. H. Parr, is serving with the Inniskillings.
