Information: Major Henry Albert Uprichard, 13th Royal Irish Rifles, who was killed in action, was the second son of the late Mr. H. A. Uprichard, Elmfield, Gilford, Co. Down. He was educated at Leighton Park, Reading. Major Uprichard was a keen sportsman, having won many point-to-point races. He was a member of the Co. Down Staghounds, and in 1914 was elected Master of the Iveagh Harriers on the resignation of his brother, Mr. W. F. Uprichard. He received his majority in February last.
