Information: Second Lieutenant Myles Whitford, 7th Batt. Royal Irish Rifles, was killed during a gas attack by the Germans about the 30th April. He was a son of the late Mr. John Whitford, Templeshannon, Enniscorthy, and soon after the outbreak of the war he enlisted in the 7th Leinsters, subsequently obtaining his commission in the 7th Batt. Royal Irish Rifles. At the time of his death Lieutenant Whitford was attached for a few days to the Dublin Fusiliers. His Commanding Officer speaks in the highest terms of Lieutenant Whitford's efficiency as an officer and his zeal and devotion to duty.
