Information: Captain Charles Moore Johnston, youngest and only surviving son of Charles Johnston, Esq., J.P., Portadown, Co. Armagh, born 1886, was killed at the battle of the Somme, July 1916. He was educated at Lurgan and Campbell Colleges, and Royal School of Mines, London, and was member of the R.S.M. rowing eight and Rugby XV. 1904-05. Before enlisting in the Royal Irish Fusiliers he was a company commander in the U.V.F.
