Information: Second Lieutenant Thomas White, Loyal North Lancashire Regiment, who was killed in action in France on the 8th July, 1916, was the younger son of W. J. White, of Winston Gardens, Knock, Belfast. He was educated at the Royal Belfast Academical Institution, and served his apprenticeship with Messrs. Thomas McMullan & Co., Belfast. He afterwards went to London, where he became Secretary to the firm of Harker, Stagg & Morgan, Ltd., of which his uncle, Mr. Thomas White, is a director. Deceased joined the Inns of Court Training Corps in April, 1915, and was given a commission in the Loyal North Lancashire Regiment in the following August.
