Information: Second Lieutenant Maurice John Penrose Fitzgerald, Queen's Royal West Surrey Regiment, who died on July 26th in the Military Hospital, Lincoln, of wounds received in the advance on the Somme on July 1st, was the fourth and youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Penrose-Fitzgerald, of The Grange, Midleton, Co. Cork. He was educated at Mr. Cruickshanks' School at Lee-on-the-Solent, at Haileybury College, and Trinity College, Cambridge, of which he was an undergraduate when war broke out. He at once volunteered. His three brothers are serving at the front.
