Information: Lieutenant S. Donard Irvine-Smith, 5th Royal Irish Rifles, was killed in France on July 1st, 1916, whilst leading his men in a charge on the third line of German trenches. He was attached to the 1st Battalion Royal Irish Rifles at the time of his death. He was the only son of the late Mr. J. Irvine-Smith, B.L., and Mrs. Irvine-Smith, Glenmore, Newcastle, County Down, and 53 Leinster Square, London, and grandson of the late Rev. J. A. McMordie, of Seaforde, Co. Down.
