Information: Second Lieutenant Joseph Patrick Aloysious Callaghan, Machine Gun Corps, was the fourth son of the late T. J. Callaghan, Esq., J.P., of Dame street, Dublin, and of Mrs. Callaghan. Stephen's Green, Dublin. He was educated at Clongowes Wood College, Co. Kildare, and subsequently went to Montreal, Canada, where he was when war broke out. He applied to a commission and came home in May, 1915 and was attached to the 5th Leinster Regiment. After training for a time with the regiment he volunteered for service with the newly-formed Machine Gun Corps, and went out to France with his company in February last, and was killed on July 25th
