Information: Major J.F. Graham, Royal Field Artillery, who was killed in action in France early in July. 1916, was the second surviving son of Mr. Robert Graham. Trinity College, Dublin. Major Graham had a very distinguished Intermediate and University career. He was a Senior Moderator and Gold Medallist in Mathematics and Mathematical Physics, a Brooke Prizeman and Professor Woods' Prizeman in Political Economy. He obtained his M.A. Degree in Trinity in 1905. In 1908 he was appointed Assistant Accountant-General to the Government of India at Lahore, and later Accountant-General at Madras. He was subsequently appointed Accountant-General of the United Provinces, which appointment he held until he returned to Ireland on leave in September, 1915. He was Lieutenant-Colonel of the Madras Artillery Volunteers. In November, 1915, he was appointed Major, R.F.A., and afterwards went to France, where he fell in action whilst directing his battery.
