Information: Lieutenant George Alfred Lionel Harbord, 3rd Batt. Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers, was killed in action in France on July 1st, 1916. He was the youngest surviving son of the Rev. Richard C. M. Harbord, Rector of Murragh, Enniskean, Co. Cork, who was from 1894 to 1903 Resident Canon of Christ Church Cathedral, and grandson of the late Colonel Richard Harbord, 7th Royal Fusiliers. In December, 1914, he received his commission in the 3rd Inniskilling Fusiliers. He had been through the Gallipoli campaign, and attached to the 1st Battalion; had served in France from January, 1916.
