Information: Second Lieutenant John Norton Norwood, who has died of wounds, was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John C. Norwood, 24 Leven Street, Pollokshields, Glasgow. He was educated at Allen Glen's School, Glasgow, and enlisted in the Cameron Highlanders in September, 1914. In January of this year he received a commission in the Inniskilling Fusiliers. He was a prominent member of the Clyde Amateur Rowing Club. Lieutenant Norwood was wounded while holding a German trench on July 14th, and died on July 23rd, 1916.
