Information: Captain George Stanton M.B., R.A.M.C., attached Lancashire Fusiliers, who died on August 16th of wounds received on July 1st, was the youngest twin son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanton, of Alexandra place, Cork. He was educated at the Christian Brothers' College, Cork, and Trinity College, Dublin. He played wing three-quarter for the Monkstown Rugby Football Club. He obtained his commission in September, 1914, and had been at the front since last October. His brother, Second- Lieutenant Robert Stanton, 6th Royal Dublin Fusiliers, fell at Suvla Bay, August 9th, last year.
