Information: Captain Gerald Ewen Elliott, 26th Gloucestershire Regiment, who was killed in action, July 21, was the youngest son of the late J. C. Elliott, J.P., Rathcurby, and Mrs. Elliott, Hollywood Gardens, Waterford. He was educated at Redland Hill School, and afterwards entered the office of Messrs, Bryce, Junor and Jellie, Ltd., timber merchants, Bristol, where he held a high position. About eighteen months ago he went to France with his regiment. Previous to this he served for eight years in the Territorials, being gazetted Captain in May last.
