Information: Second Lieutenant Sidney Edward Cowan, Royal Flying Corps, who has been awarded the Military Cross for conspicuous gallantry and skill, is the youngest son of Dr. Cowan, M.Inst.C.E., L.G.B., was born in August, 1897, and educated at Castle Park, Dalkey, Marlborough College, Wilts, and Trinity College, Dublin. He was a member of the O.T.C. at Marlborough and at Trinity College before he joined the Royal Flying Corps in August, 1915.
