Information: Lieutenant Colonel J. R. Darley, who has just been gazetted Companion of the Distinguished Service Order, is commandant of the 119th Infantry, Indian Army, which took part in the battles of Kurna, Shaiba, Barjisiyeh, Amarah, Ess Sinn, and Ctesiphon, in the Mesopotamian campaign. He was twice mentioned in despatches, and was very severely wounded at the battle of Ctesiphon. Colonel Darley is the youngest son of the late B. G. Darley, M.D., of Coolock, and grandson of the late Alderman Darley, of Dublin.
