Information: Captain Montgomery Williams, R.M.A., was seriously injured in France on August 22, and died on the following day, aged 31. He was the second son of Major and Mrs. Plunkett Williams, of Upper Norwood, and grandson of the late Major-General L. H. Williams, Indian Array. He was educated at Dulwich College and the Naval College, Greenwich, and entered the Royal Marines at the age of 17. He was for three years at Ascension Island. Early in the war he served under Commander Samson in the Naval Armoured Motor car section, and was slightly wounded. He was twice mentioned in despatches. Captain Williams married, last January, Ellen L. (Nell), second daughter of Mr. Archibald Robinson, of St. Maur, Palmerston Park, Dublin.
