Information: Captain A.L.J. Ewbank, Royal Dublin Fusiliers, who was specially commended for gallant conduct in the field on April 29th, at Hulluch, obtained a commission in the 7th Battalion, Royal Dublin Fusiliers, September, 1914, and was shortly promoted Captain and transferred to the 9th Battalion, with which he is now serving. Captain Ewbank was three years in the O.T.C., when at Cambridge, Queen's College, and took his B.A. degree in 1913. Captain Ewbank is the youngest son of Rev. C.C. and Mrs. Ewbank, Langford Vicarage, Bedfordshire, and a cousin of Col. G.E. Briggs, who commands the Depot of the Royal Dublin Fusiliers.
