Information: Lieutenant Edward William Costello, Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers, was killed in action in France on July 1st, 1916. He was a son of Mr. T.D. Costello, Bank House, Tullamore, and was educated at Castleknock College. He received his commission in December, 1914, and went to the Dardanelles in August, 1915, and after the evacuation of Gallipoli he served in Egypt. In March, 1916, he went to France, where he fell whilst gallantly leading his men in an attack on the German trenches.
