Information: Second Lieutenant Henry Harold Hodges, Leinster Regiment, who was killed in action on July 13th, 1916, in his 21st year, was the elder son of the Rev. J. G. Hodges, Tissaran Rectory, Belmont, King's County. Lieut. Hodges joined the Leinster's Cadet Company in December, 1914, obtained his commission in July, 1915, and went to France in December, 1915, as Bombing Officer. He had been wounded in April, 1916. His Colonel, in writing of him, pays a high tribute to his gallantry and ability.
