Information: Captain C.F. Trench, 7th Mariana Lancers, Indian Army, has been awarded the D.S.O. for conspicuous gallantry at Ctesiphon, when Captain Trench, with another officer and a party of 13 Sowars, carried a very urgent message some 12 miles through country swarming with enemy Horsemen, and successfully delivered it. Captain Trench is the second son of Mr. Charles O'Hara Trench, D.L., of Clonfert, Co. Galway.
