Information: Lieutenant Callaghan, 11th Battalion Lancashire Fusiliers, has been awarded the D.S.O. for conspicuous dash and bravery in leading his men, whereby they captured 126 Germans, including two officers. Lieut. Callaghan was, previous to obtaining his commission, paymaster to the City of Cork Steam Packet Company, and is a brother of Mr. A.B. Callaghan, Glenbower, Carrick-on-Suir. He is at present in hospital in London with a shattered arm.
