Information: Staff Lieutenant Lewis D. Mansergh Beard, Machine Gun Corps, who was killed bv the accidental explosion of a bomb in England, was for some time in the trenches at Festubert, Loos, and La Bassée, etc., in the B.W. He was afterwards transferred to the Machine Gun Corps, and in a short time promoted to staff as Instructor. Lieutenant Beard is the son of Mr. G. D. Mansergh Beard, of 64 South Circular Road, Dublin.
