Information: Second Lieutenant Charles O. Crawford, 9th Royal Irish Rifles, has been awarded the Military Cross for gallantry and devotion to duty in action on July 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, 1916. His Commanding Officer writes in the highest terms of the young officer's bravery. He is a son of the late Mr. Charles Crawford and Mrs. Crawford, 2 Montrose Villas, Northland Road, Londonderry, and was educated at Foyle and Magee Colleges, Derry. He joined a Cadet Corps in 1915, although not yet in his 17th year, and went to France in March, 1916.
