Information: LieutenantEdward Thomas Toole, killed in action on the 15th September, was the fifth son of Mr. William I. Toole and Mrs. Toole, of Curracloe House, Co. Wexford. At the outbreak of war he was in Canada and joined the Alberta Dragoons as a trooper. He came to England with the first contingent, and after a period of training went to France in February, 1915, and served with the cavalry there up to the following December, when he was recommended for a commission in the Canadian Infantry, with which he served through heavy fighting, including Ypres, Neuve Chapelle and St. Eloi.
