Information: Second Lieut. John Boyd Armstrong Lane, Royal Irish Fusiliers, who died in hospital at Rouen on 13th September of wounds received in action at Ginchy on September 9th, was the second son of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Lane, Altadore, Glenageary, Co. Dublin, and was 21 years of age. He was gazetted September 1st, 1915, and went to the Front in June, 1916. He was well known in sporting circles in Dublin, and was a member of Monkstown F.C., with which club he got his colours in 1912-13-14, and also played for a County Dublin representative team. He was also a member of the Dublin Swimming Club.
