Information: Captain V.H. Parr, 7th Inniskilling Fusiliers, has been awarded the Military Cross for gallantry and devotion to duty in the field at Ginchy. Captain Parr is the third son of Mr. B. W. Parr and Mrs. Parr, Ballyboy, Athboy, Co. Meath. He was pursuing his studies in Trinity College when war was declared and at once volunteered for service, being given a commission in the 7th Inniskillings. His brother, Lieutenant S.J. Parr, 1st Royal Dragoons, got the Military Cross at Loos.
