Information: Second Lieutenant John Francis Stein, Royal Irish Rifles, only son of the late Robert Francis Stein and Mrs. Stein, Woodview, Blackrock, Co. Dublin, was killed in action in France 28th September, 1916. Shortly after war was proclaimed Lieutenant Stein returned home from Canada, where he had followed his profession as Electrical Engineer. Lieutenant Stein was educated at Beaumont College, S.J., Old Windsor.
