Information: Second Lieutenant Edevain C.B. Dillon, 2nd Battalion Royal Dublin Fusiliers, eldest son of Mr. Chas. H. Dillon, J.P., of The Lodge, Malahide, Co. Dublin, was killed in action on the 13th October, 1916. When the war broke out he was in his yacht cruising in the English Channel and on the French coast. He was in her in Boulogne on the 19th July, 1914, and had enlisted as a private in the Public Schools Battalion of the Middlesex Regiment early in September, and subsequently got a commission in the Royal Dublins. He was educated at Ripton, and was a keen yachtsman and member of the Royal Irish Yacht Club.
