Information: Second Lieutenant William Henry Gregg, Royal Irish Rifles, who was on the 2nd July reported as missing, is now officially reported as killed. He was a son of Mr. John Gregg, J.P., of 3 Chichester Gardens, Belfast. He was educated at Rydal Mount, Colwyn Bay, and entered the business of the well known firm of Gregg, Sons, and Phenix, Belfast, of which his father is a partner. He endeavoured to enter the army when the Ulster Division was formed, and was rejected no fewer than five times owing to eye weakness, but he was ultimately given his commission in May, 1915.
