Information: Second Lieutenant Frederick Cross King, Royal Irish Rifles, who was killed in action on October 23rd, 1916, was a son of the late Mr. Alexander King, Ardvara, Cultra, Belfast. He was educated at Oundle, and when war broke out was practising as an architect in Royal Avenue, Belfast. He received a commission in the 17th R. I. Rifles in November, 1915, and was subsequently seconded for service with the machine gun corps.
