Information: Second Lieut. Francis Reginald Fowler, killed on October 18, aged 19, was the fourth son of Mr. John B. Fowler, of Sidneyville, Bellevue Park, Cork. He was educated at Cork Grammar School, and was a member of the O.T.C. of that school for some three years. He was gazetted to the Leinster Regiment on November 6. 1915, and attached to the Royal Irish Rifles at the front in July, 1916.
