Information: Major John Nunn, Royal Field Artillery, died from wounds received in action on April 1st, 1917. He was the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Nunn, Alma, Wexford, and was in his 33rd year. He passed from Woolwich to the Royal Field Artillery in 1905. At the outbreak of the war he was serving with the Royal Horse Artillery in India, and proceeded with his Battery to France. He was gazetted Captain in October, 1914, and in 1915 was given command of a battery of the new army, and was mentioned in despatches.
