Information: Lieutenant John Pollock, Royal Irish Rifles, who has been missing since 1st July, 1916, is now reported to have been killed in action on that date at Thiepval. Deceased, who was 23 years of age, was the younger son of Mr. John Pollock, The Priory, Marino. He was educated at the Royal School, Armagh, and was associated in business with his father in the firm of Lytle & Pollock, Ltd., Belfast. He was a member of the U.V.F., and on the formation of the Ulster Division he received a commission in the County Down Battalion.
