Information: Second Lieutenant William David Grosart, 4/5 Loyal North Lancashire Regiment, only son of the late Alex. B. Grosart, Manchester, and Mrs. A. B. Grosart, Nithsdale, Blackburn, and grandson of the late Rev. Dr, Grosart, St. George's, Blackburn, and Mrs. Grosart, Cromeville, Palmerstown, Co. Dublin, died of wounds received in action on 14th April, 1917, and was in his 22nd year. When war was declared he was engaged in the cotton business in Blackburn, and after passing through the O.T.C. course obtained his commission in the 4/5 Loyal North Lancashire Regiment.
