Information: Captain George Johnston Apperson, Royal Irish Rifles, has been awarded the Military Cross for conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. He is a son of Mr. Frank Apperson, Seabreeze, Bangor, Co. Down, and a well known member of Bangor Rugby Club. He received his commission in the Rifles in Nov., 1914, and has seen much severe fighting during the lengthy period he has been at the front, and was twice wounded.
