Information: Lieutenant M. J. Hartery, 7th Royal Irish Rifles, who was recently mentioned in Sir Douglas Haig's despatches, has again been honoured by receiving a certificate for gallant conduct and devotion to duty in the field on 4th January last. This is the second certificate Lieut. Hartery has received for bravery, and his name has been entered on the scroll of the Irish Division. He is barely 20 years of age, and has been at the front for 18 months, having gone through all of the Somme offensive. He is the son of Mrs. Hartery, Curragh-Kiely, Kilsheelan, Co. Waterford.
