Information: Lieutenant Sidney Todd Martin, Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers, who was previously reported missing is now officially reported believed to have been killed in action on July 1st, 1916, in the attack on Beaumont-Hamel. He was the elder son of the late Rev W. Todd Martin and Mrs. Martin, College House, College Green, Belfast, and was in his 25th year. He was educated at Campbell College, Belfast, and Sussex College, Cambridge, where he was a member of the O. T. C. At the outbreak of war he was studying for the Bar in London, but at once applied for a commission. He took part in the Gallipoli operations, and was wounded at Suvla Bay in August, 1915
