Information: Colonel T.V.P. McCammon, Woodville, Holywood, Co. Down, died in France from wounds received in action. He commanded until recently a reserve battalion of the Ulster Division, to which he succeeded from the 5th Royal Irish Rifles. He was subsequently ordered overseas and posted to a Hampshire battalion. Colonel McCammon was born on the 27th October, 1874, his father being Col. Thomas Andrew McCammon. Having received his education at Cheltenham College, he was gazetted Second Lieutenant of the 5th Battalion Royal Irish Rifles (Royal South Downs) in November, 1891. When the war broke out in South Africa he volunteered for active service, and served with the 2nd Battalion Royal Irish Rifles. He was the possessor of the Queen's South African Medal, with two clasps.
