Information: Captain Arthur Eustace Lockley West, Royal Garrison Artillery, who was killed in action on April 24th, 1916, was the son of Mr. J.S. West, of Beechcroft, Elson Road, Gosport. He was educated at Ranelagh School, Athlone, and at Mountjoy School, Dublin, and entered Trinity College, Dublin, in 1911, where he won numerous first class distinctions in Mathematics.
