Information: Lieutenant Charles Arthur Robinson, Machine Gun Corps, who was killed in action on 9th April, was the only son of the Rev. Charles A. and Mrs. Robinson, Ardess Rectory, Kent. He volunteered in Canada shortly after the war broke out in 1914, but returned to Ireland on receiving a commission in the 4th Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers on 6th February, 1915. Towards the close of that year he was attached to the Machine Gun Corps, and went to France in March, 1916. For the last thirteen months he took part in some of the most severe fighting, and was wounded in October, 1916.
