Information: Captain (temp. Major) William Graham, Durham Light Infantry, attached Duke of Wellington's Regiment, who was killed in action on May 3rd, 1917, was the eldest son of Mr. John Graham, The Glebe, Killarney, and husband of Mrs. Graham, De Reske, Mountain View Road, Ranelagh, Dublin. He first saw active service in South Africa, where he served for eighteen months during the Boer War, and received the Queen's medal with four clasps. Captain Graham opened the Royal Dublin Rifle School, where he taught modern musketry to the local Veterans' Corps, young military officers, members of the Irish Bar, and others.
