Information: Lieutenant Martin Oliver Walsh, 2 /4th Battalion K.O.Y.L.I., who was killed in action in France on May 3rd, was the eldest son of Dr. and Mrs. Walsh, Fairfield Villa, Rathgar. He was educated in Belvedere College, and subsequently entered Trinity College, but before obtaining his degree he got his commission in the King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry in March, 1915. He was stationed in several parts of England till the beginning of January last, when he went with his Battalion to France.
