Information: Second Lieutenant St. Clair King Nixon Laing, Royal Munster Fusiliers, died in France early in March, 1917, from pneumonia contracted whilst on active service. Lieutenant Laing was the son of Mrs. Laing, Overcliffe, Enniscrone. He joined the Royal Munster Fusiliers from the Ulster Bank, Edenderry, in September, 1915, and after six months' training went to the front. He was wounded in action, but on recovery returned to France, and had been only a few days there when he contracted the pneumonia from which he died.
