Information: Lieutenant Michael Aloysius Higgins, Leinster Regiment, was killed on active service in France on March 31st, 1917. He was the son of Mr. J. Higgins, of Woodlands, Stradbally, Queen's County, and was educated at Clongowes College. He received his commission in the Leinsters in 1914, and served with the 2nd Battalion at Ypres, Hooge, and elsewhere until April, 1916, when he contracted enteric fever. He was on home service for some time, but by special request of his commanding officer rejoined his battalion in France on March 6th, 1917.
