Information: Captain James Gaston, R.A.M.C., who has been awarded the Military Cross for conspicuous gallantry, distinguished conduct and attention to duty on the field, is the eldest son of Mr. Andrew Gaston, Carabeg, Cloughmills, Co. Antrim, and was educated at Ballymena School, Queen'sCollege, Belfast, and graduated in the Royal University of Ireland. On the outbreak of the war he held an extensive medical practice near Newcastle-on-Tyne. He joined the R.A.M.C. in December, 1914, and received his Captaincy the following year.
