Information: Captain Richard Wellington Shegog, R.A.M.C., died in France on August 1st from shock and wounds received the previous day at a front trench dressing station. Captain Shegog was the elder son of Rev. R. Shegog, late Rector of Skerries, and grandson of Rev. R. Hemphill, formerly Rector of North Strand Church, Dublin. In July, 1915, he married Florence Margaret, daughter of the late Dr. Symes, Chesterfield, and leaves an infant son. In Trinity College he won Junior and Senior exhibitions, he was an honourman in four subjects, and in his particular subject of classics he was a Scholar and Moderator. On completing his medical course in 1915 he joined the R.A.M.C.
